Q: Is Paytia transferring data to any countries other than Ireland via AWS?

  • No. Data is currently stored exclusively in AWS Ireland.
  • In the future, regional storage may be introduced based on account preferences, but the choice of storage location will be determined per account.

2. Unique ID

Q: What is the Unique ID?

  • The Unique ID is a unique identifier for a transaction processed through Paytia. It links the payment transaction to the Worldpay system or other payment providers.

Q: Why is the Unique ID stored?

  • It is stored to provide cross-checking capabilities with the payment provider. This ensures end-to-end visibility of the processed transaction.

3. CDR ID

Q: What is the CDR ID?

  • The Call Detail Record (CDR) ID is a unique identifier for the telephone call active during a payment transaction.

Q: Why is the CDR ID stored?

  • It is stored to enable cross-referencing between the telephony system and the transaction for better traceability.

4. Reference Number

  • The Reference Number is a unique identifier provided to Paytia for the transaction being processed.

  • It is stored to facilitate invoice/order reconciliation with the payment received, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

  • The Account Number is an optional field that Paytia merchants can use to pass additional information to the payment provider.

  • It is stored to assist with the reconciliation of a customer’s account records against the transaction processed.

6. Telephone Number

Q: Why does Paytia store telephone numbers?

  • Telephone numbers are stored as an additional cross-reference point to help merchants identify the customer involved in the call.
  • They provide proof of the telephone number used during specific payments.
  • Currently, the telephone number is not used for any purpose other than cross-referencing and ensuring transaction accuracy.
