The operating currency licence is used to give the merchant/user versatility of choosing a currency they wish to use whilst taking a payment. This will ease making payments for merchants who are based in one country but take payments from customers from multiple countries.
i.e. US telephone number with GBP payment processing
The operating country is controlled by a licence so may not be active on your account by default.
The choice of country also controls the following
1. Currency
2. System prompts for currency played to customers i.e. US = $ and cents UK = £ and pence
On the left-hand side of the Paytia platform you will see a category named Manage payments, click here and sub-menus will appear. Please click on the sub-menu named Operating currency.
You can then use the slider button to change the default country profile for your account. Allocated countries are configured on the Paytia platform at a partner level so you may need to contact your Paytia service partner to have these increased if the correct country does not show.
Once you have added the currencies you will operate with, you can begin a payment. When in the Agent Capture Assist you will see a drop-down menu at the bottom of the page which consists of the operating currencies you have chosen. This drop-down is where you can switch between currencies for each payment you make.
To remove a currency, click on the red action button on right-hand side of the page for whichever country/currency you wish to be removed.
Once you have clicked Delete, you should see a green box appear with confirmation.
