  • A Zoom account.
  • A Paytia account (with the Paytia Payments app installed and configured).

Steps to Take Payments During a Zoom Meeting

  1. Launch the Payment App

    • Open your Zoom meeting.
    • Navigate to the Apps section on the right-hand panel.
    • Select Payments by Stripe, Secured by Paytia, then click Start to launch the payment interface.

  2. Select the Paying Participant

    • From the payment app interface, choose the meeting participant responsible for the payment.
    • Ensure the participant is aware of the payment request.

  3. Input Payment Details

    • Enter the following details in the app:
      • Participant Name: First and last name of the cardholder.
      • Reference Number: An internal or customer-specific payment identifier.
      • Amount: Enter the payment value and currency.
    • You may also capture additional information, such as billing and shipping addresses.
  4. Send Payment Request

    • Submit the payment request. The participant will see a secure payment link or payment form.
    • The participant enters their card details directly in the secure interface (PCI DSS-compliant).

  5. Track Payment Progress

    • Follow the real-time status of the payment in the app:
      • Request Sent
      • Card Details Captured
      • Processing Status
    • The system will update you on the result (e.g., "Payment Successful").

  6. Confirm Payment Completion

    • Once the transaction is successful, the app displays a confirmation:
      • Payment amount
      • Transaction ID
      • Status ("Complete")
    • The participant also receives a confirmation message on their screen.
