How do I use customer look-up in Agent Capture Assist?
This guide explains how to locate and retrieve customer details from Stripe to autofill the Agent Capture Assist payment details form for faster, more efficient payments.
1. Login to Paytia
- To access Agent Capture Assist, log in to your Paytia account using your credentials.
2. Access the Payment Screen
- Once logged in, toggle to the User Screen on the top-left of the merchant portal.
- Navigate to the Agent Capture Assist payment screen.
3. Start Customer Look-Up
- In the Customer field, click on the dropdown menu.
- Use the Search for existing customer field to type the customer’s name, email, or reference.
4. Select the Customer

Paytia will retrieve matching customer details stored in Stripe.

A list of possible matches will appear below the search bar.
Example of Results:
Zoe Crosby - Company name 6 - PO55 1AA - ACC6 - cust_65df4957e8e4a
Sam Curran - Company name 5 - PO55 1AA - ACC5 - cust_65df4957e8184

Click on the relevant customer to auto-fill the details.

After selecting a customer, their stored details (such as name, email, and card information) will populate the fields automatically.

The customer details page will confirm the following:
- Name and Email Address
- Card Brand and Card Details (e.g.,
Visa •••• 4242
)
- Billing Address
You can select to:
- Use the Existing Card
- Enter a New Card
- The customer’s details (name, reference, email, etc.) will now appear in the payment form.
- Verify the details, including the Amount to be charged and other fields.
7. Enter Address Details
- Move to the Enter Cardholder Address tab.
- Review or update the Billing Address and Shipping/Delivery Address as required.
- If the shipping address matches the billing address, tick the checkbox "Same as above" to save time.
8. Submit the Payment Request
- After reviewing all details:
- Click Submit Payment Request at the bottom of the page.
- The payment will now process, and a confirmation will appear.
Key Notes:
- Using Stripe’s customer lookup saves time by reducing manual entry errors.
- Make sure to review auto-filled details to ensure accuracy.
- You can use New Card if updated card details need to be added for the customer.
By following these steps, you can seamlessly retrieve customer data and process payments efficiently using Agent Capture Assist.
