Setting Up a Merchant Account Profile on Paytia

How do I add a merchant account profile to a payment gateway?

Setting Up a Merchant Account Profile on Paytia

Paytia provides merchants with the ability to connect multiple merchant accounts to their payment gateway, ensuring flexibility in handling multiple bank accounts for payment processing. Here’s how to set up and manage your payment gateway profiles:

Step 1: Navigate to the Payment Gateway Setup

  1. Log in to your Paytia administrative console.
  2. On the left-hand side menu, select Manage Payments and click on Payment Gateway Setup.

Step 2: Adding an Additional Gateway Account

  1. If your account has the required license, you'll see an Add Extra Account button in the top-right corner. Click on it.

  2. The system will prompt you to:

    • Select a Payment Gateway: Choose the provider already associated with your Paytia account.
    • Set a Nickname: Assign a unique name for this gateway, which will be displayed to users in the Agent Capture Assist interface.
    • Enter Security Details: Provide the login credentials or API keys supplied by your payment gateway provider.
  3. After entering these details, click Continue.

Step 3: Configuring Multiple Gateway Accounts

Once the additional account is added:

  1. Both the primary and new accounts will appear in the list on the Payment Gateway Setup page.
  2. You can:
    • Set a Primary Gateway: Designate one account as the default for transactions.
    • Re-Sync Account: Refresh the account connection with the gateway provider.
    • Disable Connection: Temporarily suspend the account connection.
    • Edit Gateway: Update login credentials or change the nickname.

Step 4: Using Multiple Gateways in Agent Capture Assist

  1. In the Agent Capture Assist portal, users will now see multiple payment gateway options during transactions.
  2. Each gateway will be labeled with the nickname you assigned, making it easy for users to select the appropriate one.

Key Notes:

  • Ensure you have the necessary license to add multiple gateways.
  • Always verify gateway credentials to avoid connection issues.
  • Use descriptive nicknames for easy identification by your users.

By following these steps, you can streamline payment processing for your business across multiple merchant accounts.
