The Transaction Logs feature in the Paytia portal provides detailed insights into payment transactions processed via the platform. These logs are essential for monitoring, troubleshooting, and auditing payment-related activities.
Key Features of Transaction Logs

Access Comprehensive Data:
- The logs contain crucial details about each transaction, including:
- Transaction IDs
- Cardholder details (e.g., first name, last name, and last four digits of the card)
- Transaction status (e.g., successful, failed)
- Amounts (including reserved or validated amounts for pre-authorizations)

Filters and Search Options:
- Date Range Filter:
Select transactions for specific days or ranges using the date selector.
- To view transactions for one day, select the same date for the start and end.
- Keyword Search:
Locate specific transactions by entering keywords like:
- Customer name
- Transaction ID
- Telephone number
- Amount

Detailed View of Each Transaction:
- Use the View button to open a detailed summary of the selected transaction, including:
- Request and response details
- Processing gateway's messages
- Internal error codes or reasons for failures

How to Use Transaction Logs

Filter Transactions by Date:
- Click the date range field and select the start and end dates.
- For single-day filtering, click the same date twice.

Search Specific Transactions:
- Enter a keyword in the Search box (e.g., transaction ID or customer name).
- Click the Search button.

View Transaction Details:
- Click the View button under the Actions column.
- The detailed pop-up will display:
- Request and response messages
- IP address of the transaction origin
- Status details from the payment gateway
Example Use Case
For instance, if a customer reports an issue with their payment, you can:
- Search by the customer's name or transaction ID.
- View the transaction's details to identify the issue.
- Analyze error messages or responses from the payment gateway for troubleshooting.
