How to Find and Use the Whisper Announcement Feature
The Whisper Announcement feature informs users that an incoming call is related to a Paytia inbound payment. This is done by playing a short double beep at the start of the call. Follow these steps to locate and configure this setting.
Step 1: Locate the Whisper Announcement Setting

Log in to the Paytia Platform
Access the Paytia platform with your administrator credentials.

Navigate to Default Call Presentation
- In the left-hand navigation menu, click on Configure Telephony.
- Under this section, select the Default Call Presentation sub-menu.
Step 2: Enable or Disable the Whisper Announcement

Find the Whisper Announcement Section
- On the Default Call Presentation page, scroll to the section labeled Whisper Announcement.
- Note: This option will only appear if the feature has been purchased for your account.

Adjust the Setting
- To enable the whisper, slide the toggle to the On position (blue).
- To disable the whisper, slide the toggle to the Off position (gray).

Save Your Changes
- After making your selection, click Save Settings at the bottom-right corner of the page.
Step 3: Apply Whisper Settings Per Number

Navigate to Manage Numbers
- In the Configure Telephony menu, select the Manage Numbers sub-menu.

Edit Call Presentation for a Number
- Locate the telephone number you wish to edit.
- Click the Set Call Presentation action button on the row for that number.

Adjust Whisper Settings
- Enable or disable the whisper announcement for that specific number as needed.
Tips
- Use the Default Call Presentation setting to apply whisper announcements system-wide.
- Configure whisper settings per individual number for more granular control.
- If the Whisper Announcement option is not visible, contact Paytia Support to ensure the feature is enabled for your account.
